Define what growth should give you before deciding how to pursue it.
Define the outcome
Growth can mean more production. It can also mean stronger margins, better support, more capable people or a business that makes fewer demands on one person.
Be specific about what you want your next chapter to change.
Examine the constraint
Once the outcome is clear, look at what is preventing it. More leads may not solve an unclear handoff. Another hire may not solve a responsibility nobody has defined.
Identify the constraint before choosing the tool, person or program.
Build toward the life and business you want—not just the next production number.
Choose one useful move
Turn the decision into an action you can own and review. What will you do, by when, and what will tell you whether it helped?
Progress becomes easier to assess when your actions connect to an outcome you have actually defined.
One useful step this week.
- Identify one challenge this perspective brings to mind.
- Write down the outcome you want and what is getting in the way.
- Choose one action, give it an owner and set a review point.
What would change if you addressed this?
Bring the challenge this raised for you. Share your role, market and what you want to build—we’ll start there.
